Rural Connections

Hello from your Village Agent, Lyndsay Newman.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m here to help those of you aged 50 or over, to access information and advice on a variety of topics relating to wellbeing and local services. I look forward to helping and working with you in the community, although sadly my role has involved a lot more remote working over the past year or so. We are all missing getting together with family and friends and enjoying social activities but hopefully with the roll out of the vaccine, things will slowly start to get back to some sort of normality. Finding someone to provide care in rural areas can prove difficult. I am often asked if I know of anyone locally who can provide regular care to people needing support. If you are a carer, living and working in the locality, do get in touch with me by phone or email. 07967 345559 or 01275 888 803 (office) Lyndsay.newman@curo-group.co.uk

The West of England Rural Network (WERN) is looking for a new Village Agent to cover some of the rural villages around Congresbury and Weston-super-Mare . If you might be interested in this position, which is part time – 10 hours a week, then please do visit our website www.wern.org.uk , call me on 07967 345559 or email dick@wren.org.uk
